Episode #2 – Gizelle, Tino, Jeremy, Zooey, Henry and Gigi on Expectations, Mental Health, and Growth at Newport Harbor

Students discuss the overwhelming pressure society places on teenagers to succeed academically, socially, and personally. Dr. Boulton reflects on the value of learning through controversial subjects in a respectful environment. Gizelle adds that her teachers do an excellent job presenting multiple viewpoints, especially in history, allowing students to form their own informed opinions.

Each student shares their most difficult class, from AP Physics to Math 3 and AP U.S. History. Their answers reveal the demanding workload students face and the academic intensity that defines Newport Harbor’s learning environment.
